Event: SOULED AS SEEN

Souled as Seen are a ten-piece soul band, featuring a four-strong horn section, funky rhythm section and ‘two of the best soul singers in the business’. They perform classic songs from the Motown and Atlantic soul era, plus disco and party favourites. Previous high-profile events that they have performed at include Sir Alex Ferguson’s Testimonial Dinner at Manchester’s G-Mex, Manchester United Players’ Millennium New Year’s Eve party, Louise and Jamie Redknapp’s Charity Ball in Liverpool and Jools Holland’s Blackpool concert.

The Souled as Seen band includes Larry Edwards, also known within the Valley, especially in Whitworth, for his direct involvement in The Fudge Factory.

This event is to raise money for the Mayor of Whitworth, Councillor Jim Mellor’s chosen charities, which this year will be organizations working with young people in the town.

Souled as Seen will be supported by DJ Gavin. Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets cost £12.50 and are available from Whitworth Civic Hall (854130), the Fudge Factory (852795) and the Gas Shop (854257). Tickets are expected to be popular for this event so early booking is advised
