Businesses get chance to recycle more

Businesses in Rossendale are being given the chance to recycle more of their trade waste.
Rossendale Council has won Government funding in order to pilot a six-month trial to allow small and medium-sized businesses in the borough to recycle.
Sixty of the Council's trade waste clients - from 150 - have been invited to take part. Each of them will get facilities to recycle paper, cardboard, cans, glass and plastic.
Collections will take place every other Monday.
Claire Angus, one of the Council's Neighbourhood Environmental Action Team Officers, said: "We hope to gather enough data to identify whether such a scheme would work in the long term."
