Hurstwood moving HQ to Bolton

Property developer Hurstwood is to move its headquarters from the Lancashire town of Rossendale to a new £2m office development in Bolton.

It is to open a 10,000 sq ft office at its own Navigation Park scheme in June. Chairman Stephen Ashworth said the move was partly influenced by increased demand for space at its existing base at its Link 665 scheme.

“The only way we could satisfy that demand was to move out,” said Ashworth.

Around 100 staff are being relocated to the firm’s Navigation Park complex. Ashworth said that “key changes to our structure and strategy” over the past 12 months meant the time was right for the move, he argued. In the year to the end of 2006, the Group’s main trading arm, Hurstwood Group1, declared a pre-tax profit of £232,000 on turnover of just over £31m.
