Great Scott – We’re Off to a Flyer

Rossendale United Chairman Steve Hobson this week welcomed new Commercial Manager Scott Robinson as the latest addition to the off field team at Dark Lane.

Scott, 33, lives in Kendal and brings a wealth of Business Development experience
to the club which stretches back over fifteen years. He has worked in senior
positions for Ford, Betta Living and in his current role for Gilkes, he is
responsible for their European and Asian sales territories. 

Scott has recently been working with Barrow AFC in an advisory role for their online sales strategy, as he has an exceptional record with online businesses generating over
£500,000 in the past 2 years from start up websites. He has also held numerous
non-executive director positions with small businesses across the North West and
Midlands.

Rossendale United’s Chairman, Steve Hobson, said of the appointment, “We have been working for some time now to identify a suitable Commercial Manager for the club. Scott fits the bill like a glove. My fellow Director David Hancock and I are delighted to welcome Scott on board and we have been impressed with his efforts so far; having only been in the role since last Wednesday he has already found us a match sponsor, ball sponsor and man of the match sponsor, and all in three days.”

Scott said, ‘I have wanted to involve my self more in the commercial side of football for some time. I spoke to the Board at Rossendale and I have been impressed by their drive and enthusiasm to carry the club forward. I believe I can play my part in helping them to realise their ambitions.”
