Clear winner Emma’s model of month

Date published: 03 December 2009

A Rossendale student has been named Sunday Best’s Face of the Month, shortly after being crowned a national horse-riding champion.

Emma Jackson, 17, was selected to take part in a professional fashion shoot, modelling the latest collections from Diversion – the store’s new, young department.

The Rawtenstall store enlisted the help of award-winning photographer David Schofield for Emma’s shoot.

BRGS Sixth Form student Emma, of Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall, says she was thrilled when she was chosen as the Face of the Month: “I felt really glamorous taking part in the photo shoot. Diversion stocks some amazing clothes so it was great dressing up in all the latest collections.”

Emma recently beat off competition from the top 30 horse riders and ponies in the country, to take 1st place at the Horse of the Year Show, at Birmingham NEC's annual event.

Sunday Best owner Jan Shutt added: “We had a great time putting together the different looks, and even gave it a bit of an equestrian theme because of Emma’s recent achievement. She looked fantastic in the shoot.

“We want to give as many people as we can the chance to be the Face of Diversion, it’s a great chance to get glammed up and try out the latest trends.”

Sunday Best is based on Bank Street, Rawtenstall, where it opened 38 years ago. It has recently opened a new department, Diversion, which is aimed at a younger target market. It stocks the latest on-trend fashions, including Religion, Superdry, Love and Ichi.
