Firm solves club’s kitchen sink drama

A local cricket club was bowled over when kitchen, bedroom and bathroom company Rossendale Interiors donated a brand new kitchen.
Rawtenstall Cricket Club was left without a kitchen when they built a new clubhouse and couldn’t afford a new one. Luckily, the Bacup kitchen, bathroom and bedroom showroom stepped forward and offered to provide the new kitchen. They provided new units, worktops as well as two ovens and other kitchen equipment.
Andy Nuttall, the Treasurer at the cricket club, said the club were touched by the generosity shown by Rossendale Interiors: “The kitchen is a vital part of running the functions at the ground, and without such a generous donation we would have to rely on outside caterers.
“As we didn’t have the financial resources available we could only dream of a kitchen of such high standard, but thanks to Rossendale Interiors they have made that happen.
Our original clubhouse was very old and rundown, and we decided to knock it down before it fell down. We have a sports lounge fitted with Sky TV, which we hope will attract members and non-members alike, and we hope that our superb function room will be used for all types of events, all the year round.”
Sharon Mawdesley, Showroom Manager at Rossendale Interiors based on Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, said: “Rawtenstall Cricket Club has been a part of the Valley for many years and the club does a lot of work for the community so we were delighted to be able to help. The new clubhouse looks fantastic and it will be a great place to hold functions.”
Rossendale Interiors has over 40 years experience and has showrooms at Stacksteads in Bacup and Blackpool. Rossendale Interiors are part of J & J Ormerod, one of the UK’s leading kitchen bedroom and bathroom manufacturers, based in Bacup.
