Boost for Valley Radio Station

Rossendale Community Radio will shortly begin broadcasting after receiving a grant from the Social Enterprise Loan Fund.

The fund awarded a £20,000 loan to the Rossendale Community Radio to invest in new equipment that it allow it to broadcast across an area that includes Haslingden, Bacup, Rawtenstall, Crawshawbooth and Ramsbottom.

“Without this money, there is no question our launch would have been delayed much much further,” said the radio station’s project manager, Tony Nixon.

“The funds have given us a much needed financial lift which now means we can offer training and coaching via a second studio, as well as purchase the vital equipment needed to begin broadcasting”.
