Supporting Stacksteads Countryside Park Group

The railings round the main car park on Newchurch Road in Stacksteads have been given a facelift as part of Rossendale Council’s Pride in Rossendale project.

Volunteers from Stacksteads Countryside Park Group have spent over 100 hours repainting the railings and height barrier. Funding for all the materials including primer, specialised galvanised metal paint and brushes was provided by the Pride in Rossendale project.

Julie Jackson, Rossendale Council Area Manager said: "We really appreciate the opportunity to work with local groups who really care about the area they live in. They did a fantastic job re-painting the railings and we are grateful their support."
