Apprentice Scheme not focussed on elite sports performance

Date published: 28 February 2010

Rossendale United’s Community Apprenticeship is open to both boys and girls and to students of all abilities. The scheme is not simply aimed at finding footballers capable of competing in the clubs first team – that would be a major bonus for sure! We want to provide an accredited learning experience around the football environment where students will be involved in most things connected with a non league football club.

From football, to catering, to stewarding, groundsman duties, cleaning, marketing and publicity; all these skills are needed to keep the business on track and provide back up to the players on the pitch.

Rossendale United Chairman Steve Hobson says: ‘We want our students to become an integral part of the club and to feel proud that that they belong to the ‘family’ that is Team Rossendale.’

We still have a few places available on the scheme, if you move quickly! Contact Steve Hobson on 01706 215119 at the club weekday mornings or via email to: rossyunited@live.co.uk
