Police appeal for wanted man – Dennis Bowskill

POLICE in Lancashire are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a man who is wanted after failing to appear at court.

Dennis Bowskill, 43, a registered sex offender, was due to appear before Burnley Crown Court on Monday 8th March to enter a plea to charges of possession of indecent images but he failed to attend court.

A bench warrant has been issued for his arrest and police are asking for anyone with any information to come forward and contact them.

Bowskill is described as being around 5 feet four inches tall, of medium build with short dark brown but greying hair and a ginger beard.

Bowskill has travelled to London and Dover but is now known to have entered France by ferry entering the port of Calais but may remain or return to the UK at any time. Officers from Lancashire Constabulary have contacted the French authorities and are working closely with them to locate and arrest Bowskill and return him to custody in the UK .
