CONFIDENCE boosting sessions are being held to help give people a better chance of rebuilding their lives.
In association with Rubicon, Bacup-based charity REAL is looking for a group of 12 people to benefit from the sessions that will be held over eight weeks.
Gill Knott, operations manager for community charity REAL, said: “We are calling the programme REAL confidence and that is just what we are hoping people attending will gain from the experience.
“This is a well established programme and we have had proven results and it has made a big difference to the people who have been on the courses before.
“One person said they felt it was a freeing experience, while a lot of others say they never realised that other people shared their feelings and experienced and thanks to the course they no longer felt they had to cope on their own.
“We have had people say by going through the course it has changed their whole outlook on life.”
If you feel your confidence is in need of a boost and you want to find a way of coping better with life in general, the courses are run by trained psychotherapists from REAL’s centre at St James Square, Bacup. Anyone wanting to know more can contact Gill on 871730.
The eight two-hour sessions will begin in September and will be held at Rubicon’s base at Acre Mill Baptist Church, Stacksteads. There are plans to extend the service into other parts of Rossendale and anyone interested can call Gill on 871730
