Help set Councillors allowances!

Rossendale Council is looking to fill a number of vacancies on the 'Independent Remuneration Panel', and local people are being asked to help.

This panel monitors and makes recommendations on the Council Members Allowance Scheme, and meets just two or three times a year.

You cannot be appointed as a member of the panel if you are a member of the Council or any of its committees, or have been disqualified from being or becoming a member of an authority.

The panel may meet more often when a review of the Members Allowance Scheme is to take place, and there will be a review before next April.
