Care Home inundated with books

After a story appeared in the Lancashire Telegraph, appealing for a little light reading material at Haslingden Hall, Lancaster Avenue, Haslingden, hundreds of books had been dropped off by well wishing locals within a week!
Manager John Wylie said: " The response has been absolutely amazing! The local community has been fantastic and our residents are over the moon."

He added: " We are so grateful for everyone taking the time to bring them in. They will give our residents many, many happy hours of reading."

However, the home is now asking that people stop donating books, as they have more than enough.
