Band leads Civic Sunday in Whitworth

2.30pm - procession leaves from the old Council Offices on Market Street, Whitworth. Those processing will include the uniformed organizations, the Whitworth Vale & Healey Band, Councillors and distinguished guests, and of course the new Mayor and Mayoress of Whitworth, Councillor Mr Jim Mellor and Mrs Susan Mellor.
3.00pm - Civic Sunday service at the Riverside (Civic Hall), led by the Mayor’s Chaplain, Rev’d James Read. The service will be accompanied by the Whitworth Vale & Healey Band, and by Mrs Jean Elliott on the organ, with contributions from the majority of the churches in the town.

All are welcome to take part in the procession, and to attend the service. Light refreshments will be provided after the service.
