Fancy your own 'Bit Of Turf' in the Valley

Date published: 22 February 2010

Due to his retirement, Rossendale United has lost the services of their long serving Groundsman, and a temporary replacement who has recently taken up full time employment.

The club is seeking a suitable person or persons to take up the role as an immediate appointment. The position would suit retired/semi retired persons requiring flexible working hours and is open to more than one individual. The role may also suit a group of individuals wanting to join our friendly, team orientated, backroom staff.

Duties include pitch maintenance, marking out the pitch for games and general upkeep of the playing surface at Dark Lane, Rawtenstall.

The club anticipates that the role will be supported, in the near future, by members of the Rossendale United Community Apprenticeship Scheme, who will be undertaking some ground duties as part of their accredited learning outcomes.

Further enquiries to Club Chairman, Steve Hobson via the club office on 01706 215119 (weekday mornings or on match days) or via email to rossyunited@live.co.uk
