Pioneer Cheerleaders -royal invitation - prince edward at royal albert hall

Date published: 20 July 2010

20 of the junior B and Senior cheerleaders (age ranging from 13-18) have been asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall at the CCR "On Show 2010" performance. "On Show 2010" is a celebration of 29 Dance and movement associations coming together to perform on this one off occasion as the illustrious Royal Albert Hall in the presence of the CCPR President, His royal highness, Prince Edward.

The Pioneers have been chosen from hundreds of cheerleading teams from around the UK to perform as part of the United Kingdom Cheerleading associations performance. Only a handful of cheerleading teams have been especially selected to participate in this extremely prestigious event, and we have been lucky enough to be one of them.

Fayhe-Louise Mitchell Head Coach said "I found out that we had been chosen via e-mail, i was absolutely gob smacked! I had to read it at least 5 times before i realised! To say our team has only been going for around a year and a half and that we have been chosen is just amazing! It is a massive honour and a priviledge to be asked to do such a performance and it will be an absolutely amazing experience for the girls. I am so proud of them as they work so hard week in week out and for them to have been noticed after only attending two or three competitions is just brilliant! They really deserve it and are such a lovely bunch of girls i am lucky enough to have the priveledge to coach week in week out".

She went on to say "I will be recieving an e-mail this week containing the music and choreography video i will then teach the girls, then hopefully a couple of the UKCA coaches will be coming over early September to polish the girls up ready for the run through with the rest of the other teams who have been chosen before we travel down to London for the performance on the 25th September. Its all so exciting!"

Pioneer Cheerleaders have recently brought home many trophies in tha past couple of months, including head coach fayhe-louise mitchell winning the community coach of the year cup. The Pioneers also won 1st place at Bacup Carnival.
