Bacup Nursery School Open Day

On Wednesday, Bacup Nursery opened the doors of this outstanding facility in the valley, and welcomed visitors, parents and its potential clients - children!  The Open Day, a showcase event to allow parents the opportunity to talk to staff and existing users about the Nursery, catering for 3-4 year olds, and its associated Buttercups Playgroup for 2-3 year olds, was well attended and achieved its aims.

The bright and cheerful surroundings encourage the children to settle down and make use of the large variety of play areas. Bacup Nursery is very proud of its outside play areas with the children encouraged to be adventurous, but in a totally safe environment. Even climbing trees is OK!

Head Teacher, Lyn Rider, who has been there over 6 years , describing the Nursery, said " We believe we are providing a super service to the community around Bacup and Stacksteads. This last year we had over 90 children registered with us. Of course, many move on to Primary School, and so we have places available for new children to start this September. "
