Adrenaline Gateway - July launch event

This event is the launch of the ADRENALINE GATEWAY events programme. On the Saturday afternoon at the nearby Ski Rossendale there will be a stunning festival of Snowboarding and Ski Tricks displays plus live music.

Alongside the circuit racing there will also be Round 3 of the British BikeTrial Championships, so you’ll see the country’s top Trial Riders in action.

There will be a cycle try-out area with some of the top dealers (Giant, Commesalle, Yeti) bringing along their demo bike range, live entertainment, mountain-bike skills tuition and catering facilities

This July will see Rossendale hosting ‘Adrenaline Live!’ - the launch event for the Pennine Lancashire Adrenaline Gateway. This long term projects aims to put Pennine Lancashire on the map as a place for a whole host of adrenaline fuelled activities.

From Dry Skiing to Trails Biking, from Mountain Biking to Water Skiing. Already the project is delivering a great range of technical Mountain Bike Trails in Lee Quarry, Bacup and over time could lead to many more trails and the complete redevelopment of sports venues like Ski Rossendale. The project will also develop a top class calendar of events to promote facilities and inspire participation.

‘Adrenaline Live!’ is the first of these. Held over the weekend of 12-13 July and all FREE to spectators. Race date: Sunday 13th July

The venue is the latest purpose built mountain-bike centre in the North-West, at Lee Quarry near Bacup. Designed by Daffyd Davis, one of the world’s top course designers, this is a stunning, technically demanding 7km circuit hewn into the gritstone moor-side. Plenty of singletrack ascents and descents. 

ENTRIES
This is an open event for all abilities with all the usual categories from 10yrs up to Grand Vet and with Sports & Elite races. No licence or membership is required.

Pre-entry is encouraged as on the day entries will only be taken if the entry limit is not reached and will attract a surcharge.

Entrant Information Packs will be emailed/posted to all pre-entries. This will include the race schedule, car-parking info, location map and such like.

All riders will get free soup and a roll after their race.

PLEASE NOTE THESE LAP NUMBERS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE ONCE THE COURSE BUILD IS COMPLETE AND WE CAN GET SOME AVERAGE LAP TIMES.
