Climate change projects go-ahead

Rossendale Climate Change Group is one of three schemes in the district to benefit from Lancashire County Council's climate change fund, receiving £3,225 for its planned work.
The group will visit local homes with smart electricity meters and show them how much electricity they are using to promote energy savings, and advise other local organisations on actions they can take to combat climate change.

County Councillor Bob Wilkinson, chairman of Lancashire Local Rossendale, said :" I hope these schemes will encourage people to look at how much energy they use and make reductions which save them money, as well as benefitting the environment."
