Bacup Leisure Hall - have your say??

Having attended last weeks Full Council Meeting I received some feedback from a local resident about the public consultation regarding the future use of Bacup Leisure Hall. He was concerned that the Council did everything possible to listen to local resident views on the hall.

As many people in Rossendale will know Bacup Leisure Hall will close next year unless a community takeover takes place.

There has been a number of opportunities for local residents to have input directly and through the community steering group that has been set up however I am keen to do everything possible to find a use for the hall.

Any local residents that want to have a say or indeed are interested in getting involved their are 2 further opportunities coming up on the 9th and 12th September. On these dates the Council will have a stall on Bacup Market, well advertised, and ready to hear from everyone.

Following the above there is a further opportunity to attend the hall on the evening of the 15th September where Council Officers will be on hand.

If you have an idea for a business venture that could use the hall, or just want to give your opinion, please do make use of these opportunities as we want to hear from you.
